Services
Consultations & Emergencies
With four spacious & modern consulting rooms (including a room specifically for cats!), you will always receive the very best of treatment & advice from our caring vets and nurses. It can get busy though, so bookings are essential – please call the clinic on 06 878 8666 to make an appointment. If you have an animal emergency, let us know you are on your way so we can make sure our staff and equipment are prepared before you arrive.
Surgery & De-sexing
We have experienced staff and cutting edge equipment available for a wide range of surgical and dental procedures – from broken bones to routine de-sexing. At VetsOne, we believe in putting patient safety & comfort first – which is why we provide additional features like intravenous fluids, full anaesthetic monitoring and extra pain relief for all our surgical patients. Always make sure you check these things are included when comparing surgical offerings with other clinics.
Hospital & Intensive Care
All of our acutely ill and recovering surgical patients are monitored continuously by our caring nursing staff in the Intensive Care Unit – the central hub of our hospital. This area is constantly manned to ensure patient safety is paramount. For patients requiring longer term care, we have separate dog and cat hospital accommodation where your animals can rest & recuperate in clean modern surroundings.
Diagnostics & Imaging
Here at VetsOne we have invested heavily in state-of-the-art diagnostic & laboratory equipment to ensure your animals receive accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment. This includes DR Digital Xray, Mindbeam Ultrasound, Dental Imaging, Idexx Blood Analyser, Digital Microscope and even a mini-lab for preparing test samples. If all of this is still not enough to provide answers, we are fully backed by a referral laboratory service with access to world-class pathologists.
Radioactive Iodine
Radioactive iodine treatment is recognised world-wide as being the gold standard treatment for hyperthyroid cats. VetsOne are now offering radioactive iodine treatment here in the Hawkes Bay. This service is available by referral through your regular veterinarian only. Talk to them about the pro’s and con’s of treatment first, and if you decide to go ahead they will arrange for your cats information to be sent through to us prior to making a booking. Our large retail space contains a full range of animal health products, including pet food, cleaning products, toys, accessories and over-the-counter animal remedies. Our friendly staff are always happy to provide product recommendations and point you in the right direction to find what you are looking for.
