“Very spacious for the cats. Supportive and loving care for your cats if they are elderly and need extra special care. Worth the little extra cost for piece of mind knowing you have vet nurses available who can deal with any issues and medication”.

FAQ:

Regular vaccinations are required for cats to ensure they remain free from a number of contagious diseases. The Cat Flu vaccination is required yearly. If your cat’s vaccines are overdue please let us know so we can talk this over with you. If you are not a client of VetsOne please bring your cat(s) record book with you.

Internal and external parasite control (worming and flea treatments) are recommended but not required.  If fleas are found, we will request  permission to apply a treatment.

Yes of course. We welcome your inspection of our Cattery any time we are open. Just let us know so we can book a time with one of our nurses.

There’s just no place like home, but catteries are the next best place when you can’t be there to look after your cat, Don’t worry, cats settle into the cattery environment fairly quickly. It’s often more stressful for their owners being separated from their pets. More likely than not, the worst part will be the trip from home to the clinic and back, as cats simply hate being in cars.

You are welcome to bring something from home with your scent on it or a favourite blanket/toy etc, and this may make them feel more at home. But don’t worry, they won’t be short of cuddles and attention.

No, this is not a problem at all. Our experienced and qualified vet nurse team will be caring for your cat and are trained to administer a wide range of medications. We are also happy to feed your cats their special diet/medication. We just ask that you provide enough of their special diet or medication for the duration of their stay.  We are also able to organise procedures, like dentals, lump removals and blood tests, while your cat stays with us.

Should any cats become ill while staying in our cattery, you can rest assured they will receive the best possible care and attention. To protect  other guests, sick cats are placed into our hospital  facility, and our onsite vet will assess your cat’s needs. We will be in contact with you with an update and approval of the treatment plan and estimates before any work is commenced.

Our deluxe suites are purrfect for timid cats. These rooms have climbing trees to enjoy and cubby holes or boxes for the timid cats to snuggle in and feel safe. We also offer plenty of blankets to hide under in all our suites and we use pheromones diffusers in our cattery which helps to reduce any anxiety. Our nurses are also trained in low-stress handling. Cats are territorial animals and generally they don’t like other cats hanging around their home, but the cattery is neutral territory, meaning most cats will get on just fine. We closely monitor all our guests to ensure they are settling in ok.
